“Members of the community need to understand that media coverage of a court case is a summary of hundreds of pages of evidence and testimony put into a few sentences.

Before people make judgments about a person, they need to realise that they don’t have all of the facts. It requires a detailed knowledge of the evidence in a case, not just the minimal aspects they learn from the newspaper.

The 5 year nightmare that my family and I experienced was a life changing experience. With regard to the WA legal system, never in my wildest dreams would I have believed what I saw unless I’d seen it with my own eyes. I can only make comment about what I saw.

The WA Justice system is not perfect and police and prosecutors are doing a difficult job and they are getting it right 99% of the time. However, when they do get it wrong there is a monumentis battle to get the system to admit there has been a mistake.

I cannot in all good conscience just sit back and do nothing when people’s lives are being destroyed. While I cannot do anything about the past, I can do something about the future. JUSTICEwa is the starting point to help people who desperately need it”.
